The iconic image of a dog sticking its head out of a car window with its tongue wagging is very memorable and goes to show that dogs love travelling in cars. Although dogs may enjoy the experience, owners may find travelling with dogs less enjoyable – particularly due to the dirt and mess they can make on the car seats.
One way to manage the hair, mud and dirt they leave on your car upholstery is with the Pet Rider – A car seat cover which the manufacturers claim will make cleaning up after your pet quick and easy.
The Verdict from Other Pet Rider Reviews
Before I purchased Pet Rider I searched online to read some pet rider reviews hoping that previous complaints would be able to share their experiences and thoughts on it. I was very surprised that there were not many complaints and most people had nothing but good things to say about the product. The impression that I got from these reviews was that the Pet Rider was a well thought out and clever product that solved a common pet problem.
What I liked About The Pet Rider
After I purchased the Pet Rider, I wanted to try it straight away. I was very pleased at the results as it was exactly as described and here are the 3 main things I liked about it:
- Waterproof – Great for rainy days and adds an extra layer of protection when travelling long journeys. The waterproof material also makes cleaning and wiping dirt off with a cloth quick and easy.
- Flexible Fit – The Pet Rider attaches to its surroundings to provide a tight fit to seats and prevents slippage. Installation is very simple as it has adjustable straps which lock securely into place. The great thing about the installation process is that you can even install it in your back seat and your children can still sit with your dog on top of the cover as you can still access and use the seatbelts so it is perfectly safe.
- Cheap – The pet rider only cost $20 including shipping for 2 covers and comes with a bonus gift. Before purchasing I compared this price to other similar products on Amazon.com and found that the Pet Rider was not only much cheaper but also had more features.
What I Diskliked About The Pet Rider
The only dislike that I have with the Pet Rider is that if you have to machine wash it, there is a special way you have to follow or you could ruin it. Here are the instructions to machine wash:
“Machine wash in cold water, mild detergent, no bleach, line dry only.”
Personally, I have not had to machine wash it yet because I just wipe it down with a cloth but I have read that if you wash it in the washing machine incorrectly then you could be left with a cover with holes in it.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I am very happy with the Pet Rider product. It did everything as described and I can now feel confident that the interior of my car is safe from scratch marks, fur and dirt. If you are worried about the mess your dog can make in your car, I would recommend trying out Pet Rider as it has helped people with similar problems.
